Essential information on age restrictions, driver’s license requirements, safety rules, and rental terms to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Bay St. Louis
Where You Can Drive:
- Allowed on city streets with a speed limit of 25 mph or less.
- Prohibited Roads: Golf carts cannot operate on Highway 603 or Highway 90 but can cross Highway 90 only at specific intersections:
- Beach Boulevard
- Dunbar Avenue
- Main Street
- Drinkwater Road
- Washington Street
- Bouslog Street
Driver Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Registration:
- All carts are registered in Bay St. Louis, Waveland, and Pass Christian
- Golf carts must display a City of Bay St. Louis registration decal in the center of the slow-moving safety emblem.
Safety Rules:
- Equip carts with a slow-moving vehicle emblem (minimum 12”x12”), parking brake, headlights, tail lights, turn signals, seat belts, and a rearview mirror.
- Use the outside lane when applicable.
- Obey all parking and traffic laws. Reckless driving and driving under the influence are prohibited.

Waveland
Where You Can Drive:
- Golf carts are allowed on residential streets in Waveland.
- Prohibited Roads: U.S. Highway 90, Kiln-Waveland Cutoff, Highway 603 (specific sections), and certain busy intersections.
Driver Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license or permit.
- Proof of insurance is required.
Registration:
- All carts are registered in Bay St. Louis, Waveland, and Pass Christian
- All golf carts must be registered with the Waveland Police Department.
- Registration decal must be displayed on the left rear fender.
Safety Rules:
- Golf carts must follow all road laws.
- Stay in the outer lane on multi-lane streets.
